Korg Pa1000 Review
Korg has almost packed the Pa4X into the Pa1000. At least the possibilities are similar. The Pa1000 has a huge supply of very good sounds and styles. The dual songplayer and the comprehensive recording options as well as the vocal processor leave nothing to be desired. In such a compact case, so much workstation has barely gotten my way.
All sounds, styles, pads and songs can be fully edited and created in the instrument! With the built-in sampler you can quickly create your own sounds and loops, which can then be integrated into the arranger. Only the effect department could be a little more powerful. The number of simultaneous insert effects is quite limited.
The inspiring new KAOSS feature is a powerful tool to bring modern and DJ-like effects into the live game. Everything can be stored and found comfortably in the songbook. Due to the compact housing and the built-in speakers, the rather small control panel is very overloaded with tiny buttons and knobs. Korg would certainly have waived some buttons and their functions on the touch display can call. For the required price, the Pa1000 offers an incredible amount and in my view a complete workstation in a compact housing.
Korg is one of the most widely used and respected names in professional music worldwide. If you are looking for high quality sound and great prices, Korg is right for you. Korg makes many different variations and styles of synthesizers and synth engines.
Synthesizers are a rapidly gaining popularity. Synthesizers can produce a wide range of sounds, which can either imitate other instruments or generate unusual new timbres. It can be overwhelming when you are looking for the perfect synthesizer to add to your studio or musical repatoire. Keeping that in mind, I have prepared a helpful guide to finding which synthesizer that would be right for you.
Here is the difference between a analog synth and a digital synth:
is a synthesizer that uses analog circuts and analog computers techniques to generate sound electronically.
is a synthesizer that uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques to make musical sounds.

Of course you see all the external differences between the Pa700 and the Pa1000, but also on the inside they are not the same. You can actually see the Pa1000 as a luxurious, more extensive version. For example, the keyboard of the Pa1000 has semi-weighted keys with aftertouch and the memory is more than twice as large. The Pa1000 also has a more extensive set of effects. The Pa700 Oriental is similar to the Pa700, but has special oriental sounds and styles.
Actually there is too much to mention about the new Pa models. More information about these keyboards can be found on our product pages.

KORG Pa1000 Review
First, let’s talk about the sound engine. The Pa1000 has four times more PCM memory than the Pa900 and therefore expands the amount of PCM user memory to 600 MB using compression. This results in instruments with more dynamics and therefore a higher quality of your performance.
The number of user-style slots has also been expanded to a maximum of 1,152 that will cover almost every imaginable style (also reviewed). Beside that, the integrated speaker system has been enhanced to produce even more powerful and dynamic sound via standard functions such as the TC Helicon vocal harmonizer, a dual MP3 player and recorder and the dual Crossfade sequencer. Note: the video output is normalized, so your audience can sing the lyrics on the screen.
Korg’s Pa Series instruments are a very successful portfolio in the entertainer keyboards segment in a highly competitive market. Thus Korg has a strong and direct competitor with Yamaha. The direct comparison product to the Korg Pa1000 is the slightly cheaper Yamaha PSR-S975 Keyboard. Visually, the appearance of the Pa1000 is very similar to the Pa700. The dimensions are exactly the same. If you look more closely at the control panel, you will see additional functions on the Pa1000. He has more sounds, styles and extra features compared to his little brother. Above all, the many selection buttons for the style categories, the controls for the audio inputs and the more sophisticated dual player with crossfade control pave the front panel.
The Pa1000 incorporates all this into a high-quality shell with aluminum inserts overhanging a sleek chassis to deliver a vivid look on any scene!
With just 11 kilos, the Korg Pa1000 can be called ‘drag and drop keyboard’, which is pretty good with a decent built-in amplifier and 33 Watt speakers.
